Ines Hock draws on Zerkall handmade paper. This valuable material is characterized by a special absorbency. Hock calls her exhibited works watercolor drawings. Characteristic here are the vibrating structures, which in their finely meshed texture even evoke the thought of a mysterious writing, in which the writer was very much captured by an inner rhythm. None of Hock’s work is created in a single throw. She usually begins spontaneously and revises this basic structure again and again until they achieve the intended balance in the interplay between color structure and support material.
