Ebnother moved to New Mexico around 2000 and moved into his new studio in Stanley in 2002. There, he continued to develop his painting towards a form of abstraction that could be experienced physically and materially. We exhibited these works on paper for the first time in Europe in 2003. At that time, a CATALOGUE was published, featuring a diary as well as photographs of the new studio and the new works on paper.
In these works, the paper remains more clearly perceptible as a picture support than in his heavily impastoed canvas paintings. The paint appears less as a representation of something and more as a physical object or surface.
All works are in the format 53 x 43 cm and are supplied in a specially made box.
