In her works, Lea Stephany transcends the boundaries of classical painting and seeks new forms of visual expression. She breaks up the classical canvas by cutting it up, crumpling it and reassembling individual pieces. Through deliberately chosen empty spaces, she reveals seams, canvas structures and areas of colour, thus opening up new perspectives.

Born in Ulm in 1997
2018 – 2024 Studied at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design
under Prof. Volker Lehnert, Prof. Holger Bunk and Prof. Alisa Margolis
2024 Exhibition at the Adolf Hölzel House, Stuttgart
