The series of paintings “Relativity Black” are monochromatic paintings through which he explores the infinite shades of color. On closer inspection, the monochromatic color impression of the surfaces dissolves and the “ingredients” become visible: a spectrum of dark hues, a gritty impasto applied color material, sometimes also the picture ground. The emergence of the picture as a process of application becomes visible.
