“The material is difficult to tame. It has only just allowed itself to be limited to a manageable extent, but it still seems to be bubbling underground and the gaze may only fall on a cooled surface that has just solidified. The association with volcanic processes and their viscous primordial slags has long since been established and can no longer be dispelled so quickly. Something dangerous clings to these energy fields. Watch out – you could injure yourself on the sharp points and ridges! The unruly mass sorts itself through seemingly anarchic structures, the appearance of which is modelled by the light, giving the violent turmoil an almost unreal lightness in places. Gravity has been overcome, the danger threshold is lowered. A silky sheen, which gathers at culmination points, lies over the whole anyway. Black? The desire, which has been present from the outset, to give the objects a little peace, even order, with a real colour classification, is already beginning to falter here. The colour works. If this is black, then it has fanned out into a whole palette of grey and anthracite right up to the silver lights.
