Combining artistic ideas with the unique qualities of the materials – this is what the Stuttgart-based artist Matthias Lutzeyer achieves. Through a complex, experimental creative process, he produces deep black wall and floor installations. With this style of painting, he has been forging his own path for around 20 years.
His latest and most idiosyncratic work is a massive cube made of pure oil paint. It is the centrepiece of the current exhibition at our gallery.
