In her works, Lea Stephany transcends the boundaries of classical painting and seeks new forms of visual expression. She breaks up the classical canvas by cutting it up, crumpling it and reassembling individual pieces. Through deliberately chosen empty spaces, she reveals seams, canvas structures and areas of colour, thus opening up new perspectives.
