In her works, Lea Stephany transcends the boundaries of classical painting and searches for new forms of pictorial expression. She breaks up the classic canvas by cutting it up, crumpling it and reassembling individual pieces. By deliberately choosing empty spaces, she makes seams, canvas structures and areas of color visible, thus revealing new perspectives.
