Our next exhibition opens on 19 September 2026
Works by Donald Martiny hang in the lobby of the World Trade Centre in New York and other public buildings. They are exhibited in museums and held in institutional and private collections.
We discovered him in 2013 and organised his first gallery exhibition in Europe at our gallery.
With further exhibitions, including appearances at art fairs, and a catalogue, he has since become a regular feature of our gallery’s programme.
He is now also represented in Milan and Barcelona, and his work is exhibited and collected throughout Europe.
Donald Martiny’s paintings challenge our traditional notions of how pictures should be conceived. His artworks are forms created from pure colour
that transcend all convention. They are neither rectangular nor square; rather, their irregular shapes invite immediate exploration and allow the viewer to establish a direct connection with the artwork. The brushstroke itself becomes the image, the work of art, situated somewhere between painting and sculpture.
