The square works, including the notations, are determined by the horizontal. Two wide bands interrupted by vertical accents dominate
with variations of brown-red and brown-purple.
The color nuances are intensified by the different refraction of light when the brush is applied vertically or horizontally.
Particularly attractive is also how the lower left field “separates” from the band by the fine light vertical.
